Action Learning Institute
We work with teams, managers and organisations facing real problems — not classroom cases. Our role is to create the conditions in which a group can question better, learn better and act better.
Our approach
We start from a situation the organisation genuinely needs to resolve: a blocked project, deteriorating cooperation, a decision that is not moving, or a team that no longer shares the same view of the problem.
Action Learning works on two dimensions at the same time: move the problem forward and strengthen the group’s ability to work together.
This logic runs through all our work: Action Learning sessions, Learning Games, internal facilitator development and practice-based programmes.
What we do
A group works on a real problem through a structured questioning process, moments of reflection and concrete actions at the end of the session.

See the programmesOur principle
We do not seek to replace the team’s judgement with a consultant’s. We seek to make the group more capable of accessing information it already holds, challenging its assumptions and turning learning into action.
The facilitator protects the process. The group retains responsibility for the problem, decisions and actions.
A good process does not only produce a better answer: it improves the way the organisation produces its answers.
Who it is for
Our approach is particularly suited to situations where several people each hold part of the problem, where causes are discussed but poorly understood, or where meeting habits limit the flow of information.
It is suitable for leadership teams, support functions, operational teams, project groups and cross-functional teams.
