Internal facilitation
A progressive pathway for people who need to facilitate Action Learning sessions inside their own organisation — through practice, observation and structured feedback.
Progression
Observe a session and understand what the facilitator protects in the process, including the quality of questions, participation and moments of reflection.
Learn to use debriefing frameworks, reflection sequences and the tools used before, during and after a real session.
Lead an increasing part of the session with an experienced facilitator, then analyse intervention choices and their effects on the group.
Facilitate the session independently under observation, then receive structured feedback on stance, process, questioning and learning opportunities.
The stance
The facilitator does not become the content consultant. They protect the process: the rules, listening, the flow of participation, reflection time and the moments when the group needs to examine how it is working.
The goal is not to make the team dependent on an expert, but to develop its ability to question, decide and learn together more effectively.
Practice
Progress is built on real situations rather than exercises disconnected from work.
After each stage, the facilitator receives precise feedback on what helped or limited the group’s learning.
The first independent sessions can be reviewed to strengthen the facilitator’s stance and prevent old meeting habits from returning.
Inside your organisation
The pathway can be individual or organised for an internal cohort. The pace, number of observed sessions and supervision are adapted to the context, starting level and expected autonomy.
We can begin with a first session with your team to test the format before designing the full pathway.
